How to delete your account
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from the Qur'on virdi app. Follow the steps below:
- Open the Qur'on virdi app on your device.
- Tap the Settings icon (gear icon) on the home screen.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the settings page.
- Tap "Delete Account" (red button).
- A confirmation dialog will appear. Tap "Yes" to confirm.
- A second confirmation dialog will appear. Tap "Delete" to permanently delete your account.
Warning: This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, there is no way to recover your data.
What data is deleted
When you delete your account, all of the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Your user account and authentication credentials
- Reading progress and page read history
- Memorization progress (ayah progress)
- Activity sessions and practice history
- Goals
- Custom pages
- User settings and preferences
- Your profile, friend connections, and social feed events
What happens after deletion
- You will be signed out of the app immediately.
- All local data on your device is also cleared.
- Your friend connections are removed — you will no longer appear in other users' friend lists.
- You can continue using the app without an account (offline mode), but your previous data cannot be restored.
Alternative: If you only want to clear your reading data without deleting your account, use the "Clear All Data" button in Settings instead. This removes your progress and activity but keeps your account.
